What is The Vanishing of Ethan Carter Redux?

Well nothing to worry about its the same as The Vanishing of Ethan Carter but is the remade version. Yeah right the remade version which differs only on the basis of game engine. The original game was made on Unreal Engine 3, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter Redux is made on Unreal Engine 4. You can also say that  this one is the remastered version.

How to download the Redux Version?

Well if you already own the Original Unreal Engine 3 version than an update would for the remastered version will appear. You just have to update and will be free of cost. But if you didn’t own even the normal one you’ll have to buy it from Steam or GOG. You just need to buy one game The Vanishing of Ethan Carter and you would get the both game, the Original and The Vanishing of Ethan Carter Redux.

Well its funny but note that according to The Astronauts  ” Redux ” is an unofficial tag, they did not even mentioned it on the game’s art. The word Redux is just used over the internet just to differentiate between the Original and the Remastered version.

Is there any difference between the Original and the Redux Version?

Well story-wise both the game are identical in all aspects from the start to the end of game. There are no bonus content, hidden quests etc in the remastered version both are same.

Well the remastered version comes at a cost. The Original game would ran on a 32-bits Windows and 4GB Ram but the remastered version need a minimum of 64-bits OS and 6GB Ram. Well if hardware-wise you don’t meet the requirements, we will recommend you play the original version because as mentioned earlier story-wise both games are same.

The main difference between both the game is the engine on which both games are running  on different engines. The original is running on the old Unreal Engine 3 and The Vanishing of Ethan Carter Redux (Remastered) is running on the new Unreal Engine 4. Some might even ask why the game was first made on Unreal Engine 3? Well the reason behind is that when the game was been developed the Unreal Engine 4 was not officially released it was under work. When the Unreal Engine 4 officially became available the remastered version was made.

Well it’s a good news for PC-Gamer’s a good number of visual enhancement have also been introduced in the The Vanishing of Ethan Carter Redux. According to the studios most of them will be too small for us to notice. But the new version do comes with great visual enhancements and new options. The new game will now fully support multi-monitors and a new feature call “Resolution Scale” which you will adjust on the capabilities of your hardware. The new feature let you scale resolution depending upon the power of your rig. Those who will met with the recommended requirements will leave it to 100%, but the one with low specification might want to lower it. And here comes the best part about PC-Gaming if you having Gaming beast PC. You can even increase the visual quality by increasing it 150% or 200% at which game will render at twice the your current resolution. Which will result in better quality.
