Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Review and Hands On | The Future is Here
So finally we wait is over, the new galaxy Note 5 is here and it is announced today in the Samsung Unpacked 2015. This is one of the most beautiful mobile till now. The features are really brilliant plus the design is pretty cool and very attractive. As today we only have spent short time with this new beauty. We are going to tell you about this short meet up with the new Samsung Galaxy Note 5.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Samsung Note 5 price, release date, specs and features.
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 design
The previous release of Samsung which was the galaxy s6 was one of the favorite handset of Samsung users. The design was very famous and it was more eye catching, Samsung has got very much good reviews for this design. So the recent release of Samsung galaxy note 5 has a very much similar design to galaxy s6 with a stylish S pen and some improvement because it belongs to the famous Note series which was indeed one of the famous series of all time.
Samsung has fully dispensed with the metallic-look plastic trim and fake leather backing and reproduced the stylish looks of the S6 at a larger scale. The Galaxy Note 5 has an aluminum frame and a Gorilla Glass 4 front and back even which is not removable so this is a major change in Note series of Samsung because we have seen in galaxy note 4 that the back was removable.
However, the most striking design element of the Galaxy Note 5 is its rounded edges. The display itself is perfectly flat, so you get a nice sharp edge to grip as the edges curve around to the back panel. It’s similar to the curved sides of the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro.
Another striking and beautiful design element of this mobile phone is the narrow bezels that surround the display. Other than the Galaxy A8, Samsung is not exactly known for producing phones with minimal bezels, but after the success of Samsung Galaxy A8 due to its design and bezels, the company has done well.
The drawback till now in this beautiful mobile phone is the no space of expandable storage that is no micro SD card slot and the removable back panel means you cannot put your battery off with this mobile phone. Although removable battery has lots of advantages over non removable but Samsung has removed this feature from this mobile phone. But overall due to its unique and beautiful design these things combine together and cover all the draw backs and gives you the new Samsung Note 5.
These things alone will cause many fans to avoid the Note 5, but for others it will seem a natural progression to faster internal memory and cloud storage, as well as better battery management and turbo charging.
Samsung has copied apple’s strategy as iPhone is sold without having a micro SD card slot and removable battery but still iPhone is performing more well. So we have to wait and see that whether Samsung succeeded in this strategy or not.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 display
The new Samsung Note 5 has a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Quad HD resolution. That’s 2,560 x 1,440 pixels producing a pixel density of 518 pixels per inch which is improved from the previous models so now we have a more better screen quality. (iPhone latest mobile phone has a pixel density of maximum 300 pixels per inch, so Samsung is far more better than the iPhone quality).
The most interesting thing is that whether a S pen with a curved edges make sense? Well it is up to the users who will use this mobile and show their response and that what are the advantages and what are the drawbacks of these new features.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 software
The galaxy Note 5 is running on the latest android 5.1.1 lollipop with an update to the Android M release rumored by the end of the year. DiaryINC will bring you the in depth detail of the android m on Note 5 when it will be officially announced by Google.
Besides the latest Air Command features, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 also arrives with Samsung Pay on board, courtesy of MST (magnetic secure transmission). MST will work with existing credit card terminals in stores, whereas touch less payments via NFC will require a terminal upgrade on the behalf of the retailer. So this is highly advanced feature Samsung has introduced in this mobile phone, so we will see how the Samsung users will respond to that feature.
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 special Extra features
As we have seen in the previous Note devices, the special feature of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is the S Pen stylus which is improved from the past Note models. As had been rumored, the S Pen has an automatic eject mechanism. Rather than pulling the stylus out, as with previous Notes, you simply press the end of the S Pen and it pops out of its space. It looks more stylish and beautiful because this time the Stylus has a pen shape with metallic look.
Pressing the end of the stylus to eject it also opens up the revised Air Command menu. Which is also improved we have seen that the previous Pop up window was small in size but in this mobile phone the pop up window will be shattered on the full screen and has many features. You still have access to Action Memo, Smart Select, Screen Write and S Note, but there are also some customizable options in the new-look circular menu.
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 performance
Samung has release two mobile phones in this event pone is the new galaxy note 5 and the other is the Samsung galaxy S6 edge+, although both the devices are same but Note 5 is bigger in size as compare to s6 edge+ The Note 5 is a little wider, thicker and heavier, but the internal specifications are the same. In fact, the Note 5 is not much different to the Galaxy S6, barring the additional RAM and a larger battery.
The Galaxy Note 5 specs include the same CPU – the Exynos 7420 – that was used in the Galaxy S6. It also has a eight cores, four clocked at 2.1 GHz and four at 1.5 GHz processor. However, the Note 5 has 4 GB of RAM for better multitasking. The Note 5 comes in two storage versions: 32 GB or 64 GB.
Both devices are same, performance are somehow same but Note 5 is little improved version because of some higher specs than the galaxy S6 edge+. The Note 5 also has an additional gigabyte of RAM which will come in handy. the phone showed it to be very fast but this is almost always the case at a hands-on event when there is nothing on the phone to slow it down. We will tell you more about the performance of this mobile phone after the release of this phone on worldwide.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 camera
Samsung is always famous for its camera quality while the Note series has a wide display which shows the image with more style and beauty. The Galaxy Note 5 back camera is a 16 Mega Pixels and it also offers optical image stabilization, while the front camera is a 5 Mega pixels with improvement for selfies and lots of other features.
Till now we don’t have a camera result of Galaxy note 5 but if you can’t wait for the result you can see the result of Galaxy S6 camera because in the note 5 the same quality camera has been used.
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 battery feature
As mentioned above in the post, that the Galaxy Note 5 no longer features a removable battery. The back of the device is encased in Gorilla Glass 4 and is non-removable. The Note 5 has a 3,000 mAh battery, a decreease in the power of battery from the previous mobile phones of Note series.
However, Samsung has introduced a new feature to make up for the lack of a replaceable battery. Samsung has come up with a new wireless charging technology that allows you to turbo charge your Note 5 wirelessly. It will only take 120 minutes to wirelessly charge your Note 5 on a special Samsung wireless platter.
The Note 5 will also charge wirelessly on any other wireless charger, but it won’t fast charge. The new wireless fast charging platter is not backwards compatible with the current Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge. With a cable, the Galaxy Note 5 battery will turbo charge in just 90 minutes.
We cannot tell exactly about the battery of Note 5, as soon it will reach the market and people start using it then we can make a decision whether the decision of lesser battery make sense to you or not? Whether the extra battery saving and charging feature really helps the people to charge their Note or not? These questions will be answered after the entry of this mobile phone in the market.
Although while discussing all the points about this mobile phone in detail in the post, we can say that this mobile is simply beautiful in design and features are very improved. The design and screen quality is really precious having a full QHD display quality more pixels per inch and curved edges from Samsung.
The only drawback which till now we are expecting is
- Removing SD card slot
- Non removable Battery.
- Lower battery Power than previous Note Models.
But Yes these arte only perceptions and we cannot say final words now. Other than Samsung has also added some positive features like Samsung Pay and some wireless charging feature.
What will you say after seeing this device and Samsung latest features. Do tell us in the comment Box.
