Few days ago we saw the leak pictures of XFX Double Dissipation AMD Radeon R9 380X. But however the previous leak did not provide us with any details and specifications about the new card coming form AMD.
Well according to new leaks from Fudzilla the AMD Radeon R9 380X will launch World-wide in the upcoming month and will feature a 4GB GDDR5 memory and 256-bits of memory interface. Still though 256-bits memory interface is just an assumption but keeping the fact in mind about the frame buffer of 4GB memory. Its obvious that it can’t feature a 384-bits memory interface therefore 256-bits is the best possible probability we are looking at.
Well before jumping towards AMD Radeon R9 380X lets have look again at its little brother the Radeon R9 380 based on the Tonga architecuture which sells at $ 200US with 1792 GCN cores, 112 Texture Mapping Units, 32 Render Output Units and a 256bit memory interface. This specs are same as of Tonga Pro GPU known as the Radeon R9 285 which was to released by AMD. However the Tonga XT which was to be successor of both the cards, a full fledged card which was a little higher in specs but would have feature a 384-bits memory interface. 384bits? Yeah right because a die shot of the Tonga gpu was also revealed a few months ago which confirmed the existence of a 384-bits memory interface. That is the reason many of the tech sites and people assumed that the new graphics card in the Tonga gpu architecture will be Radeon R9 385X.
Well still there is much to be announced and revealed we can’t just stick with the rumors and stuff and we should be hear more details as October close up.
Do tell us in the comments what do you think? Will this new graphics card from AMD will makes it place in the heart of Gamer’s or not 😉
