3G/4G Users In Pakistan Reaches 18.4 Million

3G and 4G users in Pakistan has crossed the digit 18 million in September 2015, said recently stats issued by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority.

In the month of September 2015 mobile phone companies added 2.22 million 3G/4G users to take the total count of mobile broadband users to 18.04 million, up from 15.76 million.

3G/4G users grew up 14.43% month on month during the September 2015, which is highest in the last six months. experts says that this growth in the mobile broadband subscription is due to increased usage of portable broadband devices, including Wingles and MiFis.

Mobilink is on top it added the most number of 3G users with 878,107 new mobile broadband customers that it acquired in the last month. Ufone is on second by adding most 3G users as it acquired 637,131 new 3G users during the reported month.

Telenor grabbed 393,969 new users of 3G service during the month of September while Zong converted 316,908 new 3G users to its network.

Zong at the end of September 2015, crossed the digit 200,000 for its 4G users, warid had 156,827 4G users at the end of reported month.
